Work That Matters

Healthcare technology hasn't kept pace with the needs of Labor & Delivery. For decades, hospitals have relied on outdated systems that bury clinical teams in manual work and reactive decision-making. We started Birth Model to fix that.

Founded by a board-certified OB-GYN who has delivered over 4,000 babies, Birth Model is building AI-native clinical decision support that predicts delivery times within 12 minutes, automates documentation, and optimizes staffing — all through seamless EHR integration.

Backed by Techstars, Johns Hopkins, and CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, we're a fast-moving team built around clinical impact, engineering excellence, and solving problems that save lives.

Our Values

The principles that guide how we build and work together

🏥

Clinical First

We're building for clinicians, not around them. Every feature starts with real clinical workflows and the people who use them daily.

Correctness Over Speed

In healthcare, reliability isn't optional. We value thoughtful engineering and getting it right over moving fast and breaking things.

🎯

Own the Outcome

We take end-to-end responsibility for our work. When something needs to be done, we figure it out and make it happen.

🔬

Data-Driven Decisions

We rely on evidence, not assumptions. Our models are built on 150,000+ patient charts and validated by real-world outcomes.

🤝

Radical Transparency

We share context openly, give honest feedback, and trust each other to handle the truth. No politics, no surprises.

🚀

Grow Through Challenge

We seek out hard problems and embrace discomfort as a catalyst for growth. The best learning happens at the edge of your abilities.
